With Julie Morris
This is a workshop to develop the skills needed in the Art of Drawing Animals, Birds and Wildlife.
Participants learn to experiment with different textures using pencil, charcoal, pastels or brush work.
The group will loosen up with quick sketches followed by more detailed drawings.
We will then move on to the subject of your choice, a favourite photograph of a pet or animal, or one chosen from one of the wildlife posters, that will be on display.
During the workshop you will increase your powers of observation and have fun as you try out different styles.
The workshop commences with participants arrival during the afternoon of the first day. Dinner is served and the group get to know each other over the meal. Breakfast is at 8.30 am on the next day and the workshop session commences with the artist at 9.30 am. Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea are provided and the formal workshop concludes for that day around 4.30 pm.
A relaxed dinner follows that evening.
The next day follows a similar format, advancing with techniques and the Workshop concludes with a glass of Champagne, a chat and an appraisal of work, concluding around 5pm. Participants say their farwells and make their way home.
Workshop cost is $395.00 per person. (single supplement $120.00 or bring your non participating partner). Workshop includes accommodation, all food, (BYO drinks) and tuition. Some materials for some workshops are additional.
