With Meg Lewis Or with Amanda Davies. Diploma in Art Education. Post graduate studies in Print Making specialising in Lithography. A two day workshop of drawing and transferred monotypes, using a Small flatbed press and lindseed based inks on artists quality papers. Monotypes is a technique that was used by well known artists, Degas & Renoir amongst others. This technique transfers from the prepared work, oil painting or brush strokes to paper. Bring a sketch book and some of your drawings or photos and enjoy creating art using these early printmaking techniques. The workshop commences with participants arrival during the afternoon of the first day. Dinner is served and the group get to know each other over the meal. Breakfast is at 8.30 am on the next day and the workshop session commences with the artist at 9.30 am. Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea are provided and the formal workshop concludes for that day around 4.30 pm. A relaxed dinner follows that evening. The next day follows a similar format advancing with techniques making prints. The Workshop concludes with a glass of Champagne, a chat and an appraisal of work, concluding around 5pm. Workshop cost is $395.00 per person. (single supplement $120.00 or bring your non participating partner). Workshop includes accommodation, all food, (BYO drinks) and tuition.
