<P><FONT color=#008000><SPAN>Toni Smith came to papermaking via 20 years as a potter and photographer and believes that there is a subtle correlation between these activities – all based on water in some form– so the fact that her star sign is Cancer might have some relevance.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT color=#008000>She fell in love with plant fibre paper during her first workshop, particularly fine translucent papers, and combines these with leaves, feathers etc. in book forms and 3-D objects.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT color=#008000>She has exhibited in N.S.W., Queensland, Victoria and Minnesota, and has tutored at Primrose Paperworks in Sydney and in June 2003 at the University of Idaho.</FONT></P>
